Amazing news, everybody.
Microsoft has finally patched that annoying printer problem from a few months ago.
And finally, we can all print safely again.
That's right.
After three long months of worrying that printing a simple recipe, boarding pass or that kids school form would make us the next ransomware case, Microsoft has finally issued the September 2021 Patch Tuesday update that fixes the PrintNightmare vulnerability.
Now for those that are still worried, security minds far smarter than my own have tested all the known exploits against this patch and have confirmed that it is indeed fixed.
So run those Windows Updates, reboot, and then feel free to go nuts on those printers again.
No, no, no, don't go nuts.
Print only what you need to folks.
But, breathe a sigh of relief knowing that you can finally do it safely.
Have you been printing all this time with no care for getting hacked?
Or have you played it safe and kept those printers turned off?
